Starting paragraph is just a disclaimer. If you don’t mind just skip first three paragraphs. Our comment section and my inbox were loaded with questions on cutoff. As everyone are preparing for UPSC exam you would have known the difficulty of calculating the expected cutoff.
I have listed previous year cut off marks in the page: AICSCC Cutoff Marks Needed. The data mentioned in that page is from the statistics collected by myself from AICSCC and not just a prediction. So the data is accurate.
But coming back to predictions. Sometimes I have tried to predit the cutoff marks. To be honest, my predictions failed previously. Last year I guessed AICSCC Entrance exam cut off to be 120±5 for OBC and 95±5 for SC. But the actual cut off was 128 and 102 for OBC and SC respectively.
AICSCC 2020 batch cutoff preditions:
This year question paper was very easy. AICSCC principal intimated that there are 3000 applicants more than last year. So clearly there will be a leap increase in cutoff.
Full time:
Category | Cut-off predictions 2020 Batch |
Scheduled Tribes | 110 ±5 |
Scheduled Castes | 110 ±5 |
Scheduled Castes (Aruthathiyinar) | 100 ±5 |
Most Backward Classes | 135 ±5 |
Backward Classes (Muslims) | 135 ±5 |
Backward Classes | 145 ±5 |
Other Category | 145 ±5 |
Differently Abled | 100 ±5 |
Cutoff predictions used here involves very less scientific method(observing previous variation in % increase) but more intuition.
I apologize that I can’t reply all pending 495 comments.
But I guess cut off increase even more
