National Parks and Rivers

List of National Parks and Rivers:

Arunachal Pradesh:

1. Mouling national park – Siyom river (joins Dibang meets the Brahmaputra) flows along the western fringes of the park and several small rivers such as siring, Krobong, Semong and Subong drain into the Siang river near the eastern boundary of the park.
2. Namdapha national park – Noa Dihing, a tributary of Brahmaputra

Assam:
3. Dibru saikhowa national park – brahmaputra and lohit rivers in the north and dibru river in the south
4. Orang national park- Brahmaputra
5. Nameri national park – jia bhoroli, a tributary of Brahmaputra
6. Kaziranga national park – Brahmaputra
7. Manas national park – Manas, a tributary of Brahmaputra

Bihar:

8. Valmiki national park – river Gandaki forms the western boundary. River Pandai flows into Bihar from Nepal in the eastern end of the sanctuary

Chhattisgarh:

9. Kanger ghatti national park – Kolab river
10. Indravati national park – Indravati river, a tributary of the Godavari river

Himachal Pradesh:

11. Pin valley national park – pin river
12. Great Himalayan national park – Tirthan, a tributary of Beas river

Jammu and Kashmir:

13. Kishtwar national park – bounded to the north by rinnay river, south by kibar Nala catchment, east by the main divide of great Himalaya and west by Marwa river which joins Chenab

Karnataka:

14. Bhadra wildlife sanctuary – bhadra river, a tributary of tungabhadra

Kerala:
15. Silent valley national park -kuntipuzha, a tributary of the Bharathapuzha

Mizoram:
16. Morlen national park – tuipui

Meghalaya:
17. Nokrek national park – simsang
18. Balphakram national park – goneshwari

Madhya Pradesh:
19. Panna national park – ken, tributary of yamuna
20. Pench national park – pench, a tributary of the river kanhan which joins
the wainganga in the godavari basin

Uttarakhand:
21. Gangotri national park – bhagirathi river, joins alaknanda river, a tributary of the ganges
22. Jim corbett national park – ramganga, a tributary of ganga

West Bengal:
23. Neora valley national park – neora river
24. Buxa tiger reserve- raidak and jayanti river, tributaries of brahmaputra
25. Jaldapara national park – torsa river, joins kaljani and meets brahmaputra
26. Gorumara national park – flood plains of the murti river and raidak river. The major river of the park is the jaldhaka river, a tributary of the
brahmaputra river system. Gorumara is a significant watershed area between the ganges and brahmaputra river systems
27. Sundarbans national park – Meghna river.
