Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited application from eligible candidates for Recruitment of Officers in Grade B 2016. Recently there was a change in the RBI Officer Grade B 2016 exam process. The Scale of pay for all selected candidates must be Rs.21000/– to Rs.36400/- per month with other allowances.
Citizenship: India, Nepal and Bhutan, POI(Persons of Indian origin).
Minimum Age limit – 21; Maximum Age limit – 30 years.
Educational Qualifications : Any Degree with a minimum of 60% marks. (50% for SC/ST/PWD). Minimum 60% marks in 10th and 12th. (50% for SC/ST/PWD). CGPA/OGPA/CPI 6.75 equivalent for 60%. 5.75 Equivalent for 50%.
Number of Attempts: General Category – 06. SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants – Unlimited (up to maximum age).

RBI conducts an open competitive exam every year for recruitment of suitable candidates to the post of RBI Officer Grade B 2016. From the year 2015, the exam is conducted in Computer Based Mode comprising of objective type with Multiple Choice Question Pattern. The exam is held in two phases viz, Phase-I and Phase-II followed by Interview.
After passing Phase I candidate have to appear in Phase II. After passing Phase II candidate will be asked to attend the Personal interview. Final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the Phase-II and Interview (50 marks).
RBI is one of the most prestigious institutions of India. The highest level at which it almost regularly recruits is the Grade B level. RBI Officer Grade B is mainly responsible for checking inflation and keeping it under control through various policies which the RBI designs.
RBI circulates the coins and currencies and RBI Officer Grade B is responsible for the smooth circulation of these coins and currencies not only in nationalised bank but also for all institutions in India. I would have its control through nationalised and private banks. Apart from this , RBI Grade B Officer is responsible for smooth functioning of the economy and designing various guidelines which the PSBs and other banks directly and surely follow.
RBI Officer Grade B has great career avenues. He/She can rise up to the level of Deputy Governor at the time of retirement.
RBI Grade B officer Application Form 2016 has started from July 18, 2016 . Applications will be accepted via online mode only. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions will have to fill their online applications through the official website of Reserve Bank of India. Candidates must make sure they fill all the details correctly in the application form and make the payment of the required application fee in the applicable mode.
