Recruitment for IBPS PO 2013:

Indian Banking  Personnel Selection(IBPS) is the common selection commission which conducts examination and interview and selects suitable candidates for the post of Probationary Officer, Clerk, Multi-Tasking Assistants, Specialist Officer for all Nationalized Indian Banks except State Bank of India. State Bank of India conducts its own recruitment process for SBI and its associate banks like State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore. The test patterns for PO, clerk, Specialist officers are same but you have to write something extra about your specialization for specialist officer recruitment. PO exam will be more complicated than clerical cadre exam and will expect some knowledge on economics. Now IBPS has released notification for IBPS PO 2013. Qualification:

IBPS expects Degree (Graduation) with 60% marks in any subjects but should have studied in recognized university. For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Persons with Disability(PWD) are excempted with just 55% of marks in their graduation. Other Equivalent qualification is also eligible. Final year students cannot apply for this exam. Students studied in Open University, correspondence course can also apply for this exam. Computer knowledge is very important to apply for this post. Nowadays everyone uses computer and even we should apply via online mode only. They don’t expect practical knowledge alone. They asks for any certificates and it is mandatory to be produced when called for interview. If you have taken Bio Maths group or Pure science group in school education and after that you have done B.A. English for graduation you might have no separate classes for computer science so there won’t be any certificates for Computer knowledge in college and high school. If you fall in such criteria don’t worry if you have completed any certificate courses in any recognized institutes made for computer education like Apollo, CSC or NIIT. In the case if you don’t have such certificates too then I suggest you not to apply for this post.
Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Age limit:

Minimum age to apply for all category is 20. Maximum age to apply for this exam is 28 for general quota and there is relaxation in age for OBC, SC/ST/PWD category 3 years, 5 years respectively. Exam Pattern:

There will be two stages of Examination. Written Test and Interview. Written Test will be conducted Online. It is just an objective test which contains Logical Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (Especially in Banking Industry), Computer Knowledge and holds 50, 40, 50, 40, 20 questions respectively. Correct Answers for Each questions will reward 1 marks and so the total marks is 200. There is negative mark in the ratio of 4:1. For 4 wrong answers 1 mark will be reduced. The time given to finish the exam is 2 hours. After writing this exam they will announce our scores and we have to score minimum marks in each section and also should cross over all cutoff. If both got cleared then you will be asked to attend Personal Interview where yo have to get verified all your original certificates.

You can’t Edit the Application after : August 19, 2013
You can’t Print the Application after : August 30, 2013
You can Pay fees through Online between : July 22, 2013 to August 17, 2013
You can pay fees through Offline payment (Through Bank Challan) between: July 24, 2013 to August 22, 2013

Fees :

You have to pay fees to apply as the fees includes Application fees and Intimation charges. The Intimation charges is for messages to be sent by the IBPS server when the hall ticket is available, result is being published and call letter for  Interviews etc.

General category and OBC candidates should pay Rs. 600 (Including Application fees and Intimation charges) while there is relaxation for SC, ST, PWD students. They have to only intimation charges i.e Rs.100
